VOLCANO

The Volcano is one of the most popular places in Santorini as thousands of people visit it every year. The last volcanic eruption took place in the 1950s but the Volcano is still considered active. 
Its craters are located on two small islands that are made of black lava, Palea Kameni and Nea Kameni. The volcano is accessible only by boat and so, many people choose to set out on a boat tour to see the Volcano or they may opt for a catamaran cruise to see not only the volcano but also the nearby islands.
A series of volcanic eruptions has formed the famous Caldera, which is a submerged crater that offers an amazing view to the Volcano and the neighboring islands.
